I have some more good news about UCSD. I looked at my application process and it looks as if I have 1,000 bucks in a scholarship coming from them. A has even better news. He is getting 6,000 bucks from them.

A's mom works a lot. She has something like three jobs. When we were in New York for that week, she worked 150 hours. All of her jobs revolve around helping mentally and physically disabled adults. From all these hours she has many work stories to tell when she is home.

Recently, they were having spooky things happen with the work vans at her site. The alarms would go off and with what seemed no apparent help. They called the van's dealership and reported the problem. The dealer advised that they document the times when it happened and to bring the vans in once they had some more information. So, each one of these nervous ladies would dutifully mark down each time the vans would bark out with their alarms. They brought in the vans to the dealer. They did find a pattern, but thought it was too silly to mention to the mechanics. The alarms would sound off every time they opened the medicine cabinet to dole out meds. The vans stayed there a weekend, and the dealership said that they would have to have the alarm system replaced, because there was in fact something wrong with the systems. But, they had to wait for the parts. So, they gave the site back the vans until then.

Then, Monday rolls around. The supervisor feels the need to organize the medicine cabinet. Inside she finds the emergency box, which has an extra pair of electronic keys for the vans, name tags for the clients, and other emergency type items. Apparently, in true Agatha Christy style, the electronic keys are pressed up against the name tags in the soft box that is being pushed into the wall each time the medicine cabinet is opened. There is nothing wrong with the alarm systems. There are no ghosts in the medicine cabinets. There are, however, crooked mechanics that are willing to lie to you.

Word of the Day: indubitable- too evident to be doubted/unquestionable
