A month or so ago A was suffering from pain in his abdomen. When the pain became unbearable he went to our school�s hospital. There they found that he had kidney stones. But, they also suspected that there was something else wrong with him. So they did some sort of scan on his body. The test showed that he had a mass, his doctor believed was cancer, growing on his kidney. So, two weeks ago they operated on him.

So, they removed a fifth of that kidney. And the doctor did some tests on it to see if it was in fact cancerous.
The results came in a couple days ago. Yes, it was, in fact, cancerous. According to the doctor it is a really bad cancer that aggressively spreads. So, everyone is hoping that the removal of the mass will be the end of it. The doctor will watch his progress for a year.
She also said that he is damn lucky that he had kidney stones. It is the reason that they found it. She said, when she got it, it was about to grow.
I really hope with all my heart that his luck will continue with this. It�s all hard news for me to deal with.
